Exploration of the human spirit is my passion. I'm nosy. To me, art is a reflection of the people that inspire me, coupled with my own personal feelings and experiences. Intimacy with the subject is the ultimate goal of my paintings. While painting, I imagine having a window or door that someone may crack open to reveal his or her own fears, joys, insecurities, strengths, and shame. Painting lets me be near someone, and in my own way, try to understand his or her truth.
